As Mayor, I am the official spokesman for the City, interpreting needs, policies, and programs. My role is to reach out to members of the community, to encourage agreement and goodwill at City Hall, and to represent the City on intergovernmental matters.

Now more than ever, it is time to come together-volunteering is critically important in 2009. It is time to answer the call for service to our neighbors and to the community. President Obama’s inauguration ushered in a “New Era of Responsibility.” It is time to take responsibility and do what’s right. To rephrase the famous John F. Kennedy inaugural quote, “Ask not what City Hall can do for you, but what you can do for Riverside." I urge you to answer the call. |
