Neighborhood Leadership Academy

Critical to the success of any neighborhood improvement effort is the effective leadership of key residents who can guide their neighbors in community-wide decision-making. Selected applicants will develop the skills and networks essential to neighborhood improvement -- and it’s FREE!

Who?

30 residents who are currently committed to improving the quality of life in their neighborhoods and actively involved in a neighborhood organization (formal or informal), Neighborhood Watch, Neighborhood Advisory Committee, PTA, church group, or other qualifying community association are invited to apply.

What?

Professional trainers facilitate interactive workshops on:
• Asset-Based Community Development
• Neighborhood Organizing
• Presentation Skills and Meeting Management
• City hall 101 and Available Tools
• Neighborhood Health and Safety
• Neighborhood Action Planning
• Cultural Diversity
• All about the Riverside Neighborhood Partnership

When?

Eight consecutive Thursdays starting September 15th through November 3rd, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
